All eyes were unblinking and some were swallowing their saliva. All the villagers who watching could only sweat with the tense situation.

Alice and Roland looked into each other's eyes very seriously.

Roland closed his eyes and immediately exhaled heavily. "Alright, there's no other choice."

Alice's eyes lit up and she immediately hugged her father.

Roland took a breath and then made a loud announcement.

"WE WILL EVACUATE THE ELDERLY, CHILDREN, AND WOMEN! 1/3 OF THE MEN OF THIS VILLAGE WILL ESCORT THEM AND THE REST WILL STAY IN THE VILLAGE AND FIGHT THE ELEINDAL! ANY OBJECTIONS?!"

Everyone was silent for a few moments and then cheered as they raised their weapons.

Everyone seemed to agree with the fair decision and everyone was happy, everyone except Elsi who tried to hold back her tears because she knew what would happen next.

In the midst of the excitement, Roland stood tall with pride. Everything around him was suddenly felt silent.

Everyone moved in slow motion and no sound could be heard in Roland's ears. He looked up at the bright blue sky and let out a long breath.

'I'm gonna meet you soon, Arthur.

----------------------------------------------

On the banks of the clear river, Eleindal's army was camped with several campfires scattered along the river path. All the knights were ready with their armor except Lustitia who was still sleeping while hugging her large scythe.

The knights around could only stare and no one dared to wake her up.

Lustitia was indeed a woman and the only woman in this expeditionary force, but all the knights who were there, knew it was better to stay quiet and alive than to interfere.

Drakon came over holding a wooden bucket filled with water. He stared at Lustitia for a while and then poured water over her.

*TRANG!

A scythe attack was launched at Drakon's neck but the attack was blocked by Drakon's red gauntlet.

*Byur!

The water spread on the ground, where the woman was sleeping. Everything happened so fast that even before a bucket of water fell to the ground, Lustitia had launched an attack and at the same time was successfully parried by Drakon.

"How long do you want to sleep, Lustitia?" asked Drakon, who immediately pushed the scythe away and make Lustitia pushed back some distance.

"Eh... Don't be like that, captain~ I'm still sleepy~" Lustitia replied in teasing tone.

One of the knights approached the dark purple-haired woman. "Well, you see, Miss Lustitia, we mustn't waste time -"

Lustitia immediately held the knight's face and kissed him passionately on the mouth.

The other knights were shocked and cried out, they didn't understand what was happening but the voluptuous sight couldn't make their eyes blink.

After almost a minute of playing with her tongue and exchanging saliva, Lustitia released her grip from the knight's face. The knight lost consciousness because he was too absorbed in the woman's kiss.

Lustitia slightly stuck out her tongue and slightly lifted her shirt to reveal her white and smooth skin.

She looked at all the knights with a very sensual gaze. "I'm still not satisfied~. Who else wants some hot kiss from me?"

"ME! I WANT IT!" Shouted all the knights who raised their hands while rushing towards the woman.

"Are you sure, captain? This might take a while," said Angron who looked at the cavalry captain.

"Let her make her preparations, after all, she already knows that we are close to the village," Drakon replied in a flat tone.

---------------------------------------------

In the village of Gladii Caelum, everyone seemed to be busy with two types of preparations. Preparations for battle and preparations for evacuation.

About 10 large horse-drawn carriages had been prepared to transport residents as well as supplies. The carriages were usually used to transport large amounts of harvested crops or tree trunks that had been processed into wood for sale.

All the men, women, and children are now ready to get into carriage. There's some people hugging each other before getting ready for their tasks. Some children can even be heard crying when they have to say goodbye to their father and older brother.

Elsi was holding her little baby, Anna. She approached Roland so she could talk to him one last time.

"Did this really have to happen?" asked Elsi, still unable to accept reality.

Roland looked at his wife with such caring gaze. "Even if we force her, Alice will still insist on staying and finding a way to return to the village. The people who agree with her will definitely follow her."

"But this isn't fair, you're going to die." Elsi's tears began to flow.

Roland wiped the tears from his wife's cheeks. "As long as you and Anna alive, Arthur's bloodline will live on."

"But you guys don't have a chance, Mister Zhen himself said this won't work. You and Alice will die." Elsi's tears suddenly flowed even more.

Roland smiled as he caressed his wife's cheek. "And I will accompany our daughter to the end."

"In that case, I will also -"

Roland kissed his wife's mouth and silenced Elsi. She could only submitted and close her eyes, letting this situation last for a few moments, letting her tears flow freely, letting her worry faded slowly.

After Elsi calmed down, Roland looked at his wife very seriously.

"I want you to be safe. Promise me you'll live," Roland said with great conviction.

Elsi was sobbing. "I promise."

--------------------------------------------

Everyone had made their preparations.

In the village of Gladii Caelum, all the people who needed to be evacuated had departed using 10 large horse-drawn carriage and were escorted by 40 men riding horses.

Roland gave directions to prepare traps and war strategies.

Somewhere in the northeast. About a few kilometers away from the village of Gladii Caelum, the cavalry of Eleindal's army moved quickly.

Lustitia grinned, Angron looked sleepy and Drakon looked very serious. The three of them were at the very front, leading Eleindal's 100-man knight cavalry.

--------------------------------------------

2 kilometers to the south from the village, an elf sat on a high hill and watched his old comrade's village.

He took out a metal box from his [ Inventory ] and opened the metal box.

It was a collection of dry biscuits with a fragrant aroma that made even Noir wake up from his nap.

Noir approached Zhen and sat down while wagging his tail, waiting patiently.

Zhen, who witnessed this, couldn't help but smile and threw three biscuits at Noir. The black-furred wolf ate them happily as his tail wagged even faster.

The elf picked up one biscuit and took a bite. "I could have helped them, but my help wouldn't have stopped the destruction of the village. Even if they could pay me, my actions would only prolonged the inevitable of the destruction that is already certain."

Zhen munched on a biscuit. "They must evolve drastically or perish, that's the only choice."

He took another biscuit and looked at Alice who was guiding the villagers.

"Can you surpass it, knight girl?" Zhen took a bite of the biscuit.
